Banner sizing

The same banner will appear on every device people use to access your youtube channel (desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones) However the banner is resized depending on which device it is being viewed on. It's important to keep this in mind as if you're not careful, critical information might not appear on certain devices.

YouTube themselves suggest uploading a minimum 2560 x 1440 px image for your channel banner with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a file size no larger than 6 MB. This and other sizing guidelines and tips can be found here
